Can I buy directly from the website?
Yes. Some pieces are available to purchase directly — add to cart, pay, and we begin production. Other pieces require an enquiry first, especially custom or made-to-order items. The product page will show either a "Buy Now" button or an "Enquire" button.
What is the difference between Buy Now and Enquire?
"Buy Now" means the piece is available at the listed price with standard specifications. You can purchase it directly. "Enquire" means the piece involves options — material, dimensions, finish — that we need to discuss before confirming a price and specification.
How do I place a custom order?
Write to us at support@houseofakara.com or use the Enquire button on the product page. We will share a specification document with pricing. You confirm in writing, pay, and production begins.
What happens after I place an order online?
You receive an order confirmation by email. Production begins once payment is received. We update you on progress and send tracking details once dispatched.
What payment methods do you accept?
UPI, credit card, and debit card.
Why is full payment required before production?
Each piece is made to order. We source and cut materials specifically for your order. Full advance ensures your piece enters production immediately.
Do you offer EMI or instalments?
No. Full payment before production.
Are prices on the website inclusive of tax?
Yes. All prices for Indian orders include GST. For international orders, import duties and local taxes at your destination are your responsibility.
Are delivery charges refundable?
No, unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defect.
How long do I have to complete payment?
If payment is not completed within 7 days of order confirmation, we may cancel the order.
What if I refuse delivery?
If you refuse delivery without prior cancellation, you are liable for two-way shipping, handling, and storage costs. Products are held for 30 days to arrange redelivery. If unresolved within 60 days, we may sell the piece and refund the balance minus costs incurred. See our Return Policy for full details.
